Friends of Solar Invest BV (FOS)FOS is an investment fund focussing on investments in the value chain of the PV solar industry from silicon to end-products (including solar systems and projects). G.Boxhoorn and H. Thijs, the founders of Solland Solar and The Silicon Mine, set up the company. Support came from people with many years of experience in the solar industry, stemming a.o. from Shell Solar, OTB Engineering, Philips and Solland. FOS is focussed on silicon production, solar cell manufacturing, module manufacturing, solar systems (grid connect and stand-alone), solar products, solar projects, project-financing and start-up support. |
FOS has currently invested in The Silicon Mine BV (silicon production), Jollysol BV (solar module production) and Onestone Solar BV (solar projects). FOS is seeking investment partners to enhance its investments in the value chain further. Its objective is raising EUR 250 mio. Investment can take place via FOS or as co-investor in FOS’ projects.
